Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an incredible group of curious, creative, and resilient individuals. They come from diverse backgrounds and are united by their passion for learning and discovery. What makes them truly special is their ability to embrace challenges and work together to achieve their goals.

This project focuses on creating an Esports program that goes beyond gaming.

Esports provides students with opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills. By participating in competitive gaming, they will also explore STEM concepts like coding, game design, and hardware management.

The resources we’re requesting, such as a Nintendo Switch, headsets, and controllers, will allow students to compete in Esports leagues and tournaments while fostering collaboration and digital literacy. These tools will also give us a chance to integrate technology into our curriculum, making learning more engaging and relevant to their interests.

Our goal is to provide a safe, inclusive space where students can build confidence, develop problem-solving abilities, and prepare for success in college, careers, and life. Your support will help us unlock new opportunities for our students and inspire them to reach their full potential.
