Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, a lot of items that I wish to use for teaching I still do not have. It is very hard to often buy some of these materials on my own. As a new teacher, I am in need of donated items to help create a warm, engaging classroom environment for my students. Starting a teaching career comes with many expenses, and donations can help supplement my limited budget.

My goal is to make my classroom an inviting space where students feel comfortable and excited to learn each day.

With community support, I can decorate bulletin boards with colorful paper, borders, and educational posters to stimulate young minds. A cozy reading nook with pillows, rugs, and bookshelves filled with engaging stories will promote literacy and a love of reading. Hands-on learning materials like craft supplies, building blocks, and puzzles are essential for active student participation but can be costly for teachers to provide. Classroom supplies like pencils, markers, glue sticks, and notebooks are necessities I simply cannot afford in bulk on my own. Donations of storage bins, command hooks, writing pads, and lights will allow my classroom to be a warm, vibrant, and well-equipped space for nurturing students' growth and intellectual curiosity this school year. Even small contributions make a big difference in helping provide an enriching educational experience. I sincerely appreciate any donations you can offer to help make my first year of teaching a success.
