This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the heart of my project lies the belief that learning should be as fun as it is educational. That's why I'm excited to introduce my 6th-grade students to the thrill of leadership through planning and facilitating a fun-filled Field Day for our K-2 peers. Our goal is not just to organize games but to foster a spirit of togetherness and collaboration that extends far beyond the playground. Through engaging activities like the parachute toss, parachute team-building game, and the water bucket challenge, our students won't just learn about teamwork - they'll embody it. They'll discover the power of communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking in an environment that's not just educational, but exhilarating. Together, we'll create memories that will last a lifetime, proving that when it comes to learning, sometimes the best lessons are the ones we have the most fun with.

This project isn't just about fun and games; it's about giving our students the opportunity to take charge of their own learning and make a positive impact in their community.

By giving them the responsibility of planning and facilitating the K-2 Field Day, we're nuturing their leadership skills and teaching them valuable lessons in organization, communication, and teamwork. So let's come together and celebrate the spirit of learning, friendship, and fun as we embark on this exciting journey together.
