My students need this trip to make memories with friends and have a day of learning, fun and excitement!

My Students

The school has a very diverse population of learners including ESE, ESL, Hispanic, African American, and White students and other nationalities. The school this project will be used at a Title I school with many low income families and many different backgrounds.

Many families are unable to afford field trips and as a result, some students struggle to get the funding to attend.

We would like to make sure that ALL 5th-grade students can attend one last field trip before they leave elementary school. Please help us make this field trip a reality for all of our students.

My Project

The students will participate in an fun filled educational day. The students will learn about different topics across all subject areas. These topics are listed below:

Fifth Grade

Reading/Language Arts: Reading process, Literary analysis, Writing process,

Writing applications and Communication

Mathematics: Big Ideas 1, 2 and 3

Supporting Idea 6: Number and Operations

Supporting Idea 7: Data Analysis

Science: Big Idea 1: The Practice of Science

Big Idea 2: The Characteristics of Scientific Knowledge

Big Idea 14: Organization and Development of Living Organisms

Big Idea 15: Diversity and Evolution of Living Organisms

Big Idea 17: Interdependence

Social Studies: Geography

The students will not only be able to learn about these topics but they will be able to see animals that are in rehabilitation as well as experience some thrilling rides.
