My Project

The population of my students is primarily military, and they are used to new environments and constant movement. My students are always trying to assimilate to a new classroom environment. My hope is to motivate them and create a fun activity that they will look forward to.

Many of our students want to learn coding not just from behind a computer screen.

With the use of the Sphero robots, students will have the opportunity to explore problem solving in an engaging way. Sphero will give them the freedom to explore and play in an educational way. With all the demands on curriculum and constant changes students should have the opportunity to learn in a field they are passionate about.

With the Sphero bundles more students will be able to participate and work in closer partner groups to explore. We had the opportunity to use them on a field trip and I witnessed students who were fully emersed and excited by the work they were doing. They talked about the experience weeks after, even having parents contact me to share their excitement.
