My Project

Rooted in the Desire neighborhood since 1958, our school has an extensive legacy as a community pillar in the Ninth Ward. Our vision is to prepare all of our scholars for college success, inspired and ready to exceed any expectation. We are the only open-enrollment High School in New Orleans to be named a Top Gains honoree and the only open enrollment High School in New Orleans to earn an A in academic growth.

We've found that our students who are most successful in college are the ones who are always making the choice to read independently outside of class.

We want to create a library of books that our college-bound students should read over their four years in high school; we will be providing incentives and scholarships for students who complete portions or all of the list. Help us out by funding the library!
