My Students

Next year, my fourth graders are only going to see me for one thing: Language Arts. I want to bring the curriculum to life by using fiction and non fiction text. My goal is to engage students in reading in a hands on way just like I would in science and math!

I love my school and community.

We have a wonderful environment that welcomes you everyday. Like many students, our kiddos do not have as much access to books as I would like. By getting real books in their hands, I hope to inspire their passion for reading.

My Project

Students will be engaged in performance task using the books that I am purchasing. Each book belongs to a thematic unit that will have students working collaboratively and creatively. These books and topics will expand students literacy as well as their knowledge about the world.

Donating to this project will help to capture the minds of students through literature.

Students will be able to interact with text in a much more meaningful way that I would be able to create without books. Our literature classroom needs your help.
