Help me give my students the materials they need to succeed. The whiteboard and table will help us work with small groups. The other materials will help us set up our classroom for our upcoming 2019-2020 4th grade!
From the minute my students walk into the classroom, my goal is to create a positive environment. I have a student population with a vast range of needs. I have students that struggle academically, emotionally and behaviorally. We are a diverse bunch and we value that diversity.
We focus on having a growth mindset!
We focus on the good and the hard work. We see the power in the struggle. We understand that when something is tough for our brains it only helps our brains grow!
Despite the challenges, in and out of the classroom, I have high expectations for my students. We need to work together and learn from one another to be successful! Things that help us thrive are flexible seating, small groups and positive reinforcement.
These materials will help organize our classroom for the upcoming school year.
By donating to our project you will help every student have the materials they need to be successful.
Our new whiteboard and table will help facilitate small groups in all subject areas. The math manipulatives will help students' conceptual knowledge in math. The other classroom materials will help us make tools and materials accessible to students so that they can take agency for their own learning.
These basic materials will help us teachers organize our classroom for the variety of needs that are coming into our fourth grade. We will be using the materials to create alternative areas for small groups to learn to provide more targeted support.
