My Students
We care about our futures! In this fiscally troubling time, our high school students are aware of personal debits, rising rent and housing prices, increased cost of living, and standstill in wages. In our career technical education pathway, students are learning skills on how to be young, hard-working entrepreneurs that will help benefit their financial futures.
As young entrepreneurs, we believe entrepreneurship will benefit and help improve our society, communities, and environment.
With a focus on human-centered design thinking, social entrepreneurship, sustainable thinking, and innovation, students are developing skills in how business opportunities and ideas can make a lasting positive impact. Students learn real-life skills that will set them to be successful, financially independent, and ethically responsible contributing members to society.
My Project
Normally, our students would get a chance to learn how to use our 3D printers and practice making prototypes during our Minimal Viable Product unit. During this unit, students print products and test them out to in a focus group. Students get a hands on experience to learn about prototyping, design thinking, and the iterative process of product development.
During Distance Learning, 3D printing can be done at home.
With these 3D pens, each student will be able to print small prototypes at home before designing the next version. Help us continue to have hands on experience even in Distant Learning!
