My students need a warm and inviting space in our new room. Many of my students work on projects, study for exams, check in with teachers, and/or build relationships during lunch. We are looking to add a mini refrigerator and microwave so students can store their healthy lunches and reheat meals. Adding these supplies will create a one stop shop for students to eat, work and study, which will maximize their lunch period instead of buying unhealthy food and spending time venturing off campus. Help us build a space to eat, connect, and work! As we move into our new space, we want to make it our own. We will be adding more projects that will help us transform a dark room and into a warm and welcoming classroom. Creating a space where students feel comfortable will encourage a sense of belong and community. Students will feel more incline to collaborate, support, and engage in learning together.
