My Project

3D printing pens are such an engaging learning tool, even for the coolest middle schoolers. We hope to acquire a set of 12 3Doodler printing pens and filament for our VILS Lab classes that focus on STEAM education.

3D printing pens ar a fantastic tool to incorporate into a STEAM class as they allow students to bring their creations to life in a tangible and collaborative way.

First we can use them for design prototyping. This hands-on approach will help students visualize and refine their concepts. They can also be used for artistic expression allowing students to understand how technology can intersect with the arts. We love engineering challenges. These 3D printing pens will challenge students to design and build structures, test their engineering skills, and build their understanding of structural stability. Students will be able to make cross-curricular connections as well.

The possibilities are endless with these 3D printing pens. They'll provide my students with opportunities to experiment, problem solve, and think critically while using this impressive and engaging tool in our STEAM class.
