This year, I want to ensure that all of my students’ needs are met.
I currently teach 28 amazing, 3rd-grade students in a low-income/high poverty school who will one day be the leaders in our community.
My students are faced with many challenges each and every day. My goal is to care for the whole child and to provide them with all they need to be successful for their future endeavors. I plan on giving my students weekly opportunities to participate in engineering and robotics projects to prepare them for the future. Students need to be able to work in collaborative groups in problem-based learning activities.
My Project
I try to help prepare my students to be a 21st-century learner with all the activities and projects I select for them. My hope is that my students learn and enjoy learning how to use STEM activities in their everyday life. Our school is a certified STEM school as well as when my students leave our elementary school, they will then move into a STEM certified Middle School. Working with the 3D printer will prepare them for their future as well as give them access to something they won't normally have access to.
My students have created projects to display on campus and with a 3D printer, they will be able to make things they have only been able to dream about.
The 3D printer will allow them to build and create the items they need and the various colored resins are what the printer creates the items with, Please help my students make our venture into 3D printing a success.
