This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide my students a user-friendly 3D printer for them to express their creativity and ideas. They have come a long way despite what the pandemic has brought to all of us. They show perseverance and love to work in groups to collaborate, discuss and brainstorm! They interact in order to share and improve their ideas. We are back to full in-person learning and now fully integrating science and engineering practices in the classroom.

We spend our time in class on hands-on activities that foster creativity to prepare our students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers and having a 3D printer that is user-friendly will be a great tool.

Our activities are aligned with NGSS and every activity engages students to acquire mastery of the content standard - shown in writing, concept-related projects, hands-on experiments, online simulations or an interactive group activity. Our students get their hands and minds busy to be problem-solvers and critical thinkers. We want our students to be aware of their thinking process and how it changes during their learning process. We want them to apply what they learn to real-world problem solving. Most importantly, we want to provide a creative and fun venue for students to show their understanding and mastery.

Our school is a Title I school with 56% of the population receiving free or reduced-price lunch. We thrive in diverse population and creativity.
