My Project

We have been creating and 3D printing in school this year.

All sorts of projects from name tags to conversation hearts!

Fourth grade students have been weaving in art class on lucets produced on the 3D printer. Weaving is not just for girls! Did you know that the Vikings used similar devices to weave? Students in Library class received tiny 3D printed capybaras to accompany their readings. Yes, every student in the school. In one of our Kids Clubs, in the hour before school, students created earrings - for themselves and for their teachers.

Our 3D printers have been very busy this year. And now we need more filament to continue to create on this magical machine.

We want to design and print bubble wands and to expose students to Braille by printing items with Braille lettering.

3D printing can be a lot of extra work, but for me, and for the students, the payback is greater.
