This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By providing ceramic tools and color glazes to my students, they will be able to go beyond the limitations they have right now using their bare hands. I am teaching my students different ceramic techniques such as slab, pinch, coiling, and even the chemistry of glazing. I have seen what they can do with just their hands and the little resources we have in our school.

They create magical pieces with a little clay, water, and toothpicks, I wonder what they could create with better, specific, and more appropriate ceramic tools.

My goal is to have my students reach their full potential, enter them in city and state competitions such as VASE and have them realize how special and talented they are.
