My Students

I teach Early Childhood Special Education in Texas. My school is a Title-1 and low-SES campus. My students are 3 and 4 years olds and the majority of them are experiencing school for the very first time when they enter my classroom. They love being active and moving their little bodies!

My Project

Early childhood education sets the stage for future educational success and quality learning experiences give young learners a strong foundation for the future academic careers.

Appropriate, high quality, and durable materials are necessary to engage young learners and develop skills they needs to be strong, lifelong learners.

The materials from this project will help develop crucial life skills like turn-taking, impulse control, sharing in addition to strengthening motor skills and hand eye coordination. Games developed specifically with our youngest learners in mind can withstand wear and tear and have bigger pieces for small hand manipulation. These games, balls, manipulatives, etc. will be enjoyed for years to come across all early childhood academic settings.
