3-D Field Trips From the Classroom

My students need 15 3-D Virtual Reality glasses and a wireless router to experience virtual reality field trips right from the classroom!

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. We serve some students that are very transient and other students have the benefit of extended family in the area. We used to be a small town but they are building in our area as fast as they can and we are adjusting to the growth as fast as we can.

We serve students who are low income and may not have educational support beyond our school.

We take these challenges as an opportunity to be more creative in reaching our students.

My Project

The headsets and wireless router will allow us to use Google Expeditions to take field trips around the world without ever leaving our classroom!

We've been able to explore the inside of human lungs, the Great Wall of China and Mt Everest!

We have enjoyed these experiences with a borrowed set from another school but with our school of almost 1,000 students we need our own set!

Being able to take 3-D field trips will enable students to actual see and experience different places without leaving the classroom! Although the virtual field trips take just minutes they leave an impact on their learning.
