This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year gifted & talented teacher, I have been continuously surprised and amazed at the creative thinking of my students. It has been my pleasure to watch them challenge themselves and think outside of the box, growing as learners and makers. Over this past school year, the 3rd-6th grade students have designed planets and sneakers, planned dream vacations and road trips across the U.S., and are now creating their own carnival games out of cardboard!

Their creativity is boundless, and I realized that a 3-D printer would be an amazing next step to stretching their problem-solving and creativity!

Students would be able to research, plan, and design a project that solves a specific problem, using the 3-D printer as a culminating task to bring everything together! Please help me bring my students' ideas to life!
