My Students

Young students need to move to learn. Sitting in a desk for long periods of time is difficult for many young learners. You can help them focus on their learning!

My school is located in a low-income area with a large homeless and foster youth population.

I work with very wiggly 2nd graders most of whom have movement and brain breaks included in their Individualized Education Plans. Exercise balls will help all of my students, especially the restless ones, focus on their learning instead of the need to move their bodies.

My Project

I am requesting 52 exercise balls for my students. Students will have the option to sit on an exercise ball at their desks to help them focus on their learning while getting the opportunity to move their body and get the wiggles out. This will help diminish behavior problems and allow wiggly students to move while learning.

Funding my project will help my second graders succeed in school!

It will give many students an outlet to focus their urge to move and wiggle without disrupting the class or even their own learning.
