Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of various families from different neighborhoods, educational backgrounds, and economic groups. One of the many things we all have in common is a love and desire for these children to succeed.

We are back in person and getting into the new routines and procedures after being home for the past year and a half.

Some students have been doing distance learning for the last year a half and we are easing our way back into full-time in-person learning.

My Project

Kids love to read, and this group of kids loves facts, riddles, and trivia. I am asking for a box set of classic books, as well as some fun fact-finding books. I want kids to know that non-fiction and fiction books look different depending on what type of books you are reading within a genre.

These varieties of books, across different genres, will help continue to develop my student's love of reading while exposing them to different types of text and genres.
