Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This school year is almost over and sooner than we know, the 2024-2025 school year will be upon us. I teach in a Title 1, low income area. School supplies will help my new Kindergarten students a great start to their educational experience.
For many of these students, this will be their first time in school.
Tichondria pencils are the best to sharpen and having an electric pencil sharpener is very important. Students really loved the small pencil pouches in the past. I will be in need of more for the coming year because I let the students take home these pouches at the end of each year. 2 pocket - 3 pronged plastic folders are so helpful in their individual bins. I put in the Sight Word list, Alphabet chart, and 100s chart in plastic clear sheets. Plastic clear sheets will come in handy because I have binders and keep in clear sheets. Binder clips are so helpful to keep papers organized.
Students use white board markers and easers. I look forward to trying the clear plastic sheets for students to use while using the expo markers. My old CD player from college finally died. A portal CD player will be helpful especially when the internet goes out and I can still play music during class while students are writing or working independently.
