My Students

My students are an inspiring group of individuals that range in their learning styles and abilities. They are ALL technologically savvy and capable of completing amazing projects with the right tools. Many require the use of a Chromebook during class as an accommodation.

I am teaching 6th and 7th grade Core as well as 21st Century Design-an elective with a STEM focus.

My students are expected to type a large number of assignments in my core classes. My 21st Century Design students will be expected to research solutions to everyday problems.

My Project

My students are doing projects and research that requires technology on a daily basis. In my Core classes we are practicing listening skills, utilizing language programs, writing essays and producing Google slide presentations in the classroom. We are also completing research on a variety of different subjects in my 21st Century Design class.

My campus has Chromebooks that are shared by at least 8 classrooms everyday.

The students in my classes are interrupting other teachers and their students, on a daily basis, in order to borrow a Chromebook from the teacher who has "checked out" the cart for their class that day/period. This results in time lost to complete projects. Adding Chromebooks to my classroom will enable students to have the technology at their fingertips when they need it!
