Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The materials and supplies being requested have a specific purpose for my students to be successful in their academics for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
The supplies and materials being requested will help the Title 1 families in my 3rd grade class have one less expense for the new school year.
The supplies will also help my students be successful during our lessons with organization and project base learning.
1. The tabs and binders will be used for our data binders. The data binders will be used every Friday to collect data on our weekly spelling, literacy and math tests to show our families at student led conferences all of our hard work and progress. The binder tabs will seperate each grading period.
2. The markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, pencils, sharpeners, paper, and dry erase markers will allow my students to have a successful start to the year with project base learning and basic supplies to do daily tasks.
3. The desk dividers will help my students that struggle with distractions to concentrate more during weekly tests. While also giving some students privacy while they work independently. These dividers I also plan on using during state testing to provide privacy and less distractions for my students as they tansition and get comfortable with their first year of state testing.
4. The composition books will allow me to incorporate more interactive notebooks while also allowing my students to practice their writing skills daily during morning work.
