Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My first graders love to learn, design, build, and explore. STEM education is fun and thought-provoking. By using the materials in this project, my first graders will be prepared for the future.

By learning through STEM education, my first graders will continue to build on the foundation that will be needed for their future as scientists, engineers, doctors, and computer technologists.

The Lakeshore Science station science kits will help them to learn what it takes to work in groups and still have their personal space. The STEM building blocks and workbooks will also help to foster their scientific knowledge. The STEM Explorers Magnet kit will also ensure that my first graders will continue to build on their knowledge of how things work. The STEM Root Building station will be used to help them make observations from beginning to end of plants growing. The writing materials such as the markers and chart paper will help my first graders to make posters and displays to showcase their work. The Math skill builder set will help them to be able to practice addition and subtraction strategies.
