This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are absolutely amazing! They come from low economic backgrounds and live in a high poverty area. This does not deter them from reaching for the stars. Your generous donations will allow them access to things they normally wouldn't be able to afford in our classroom. Your donation will make our classroom a much better place to learn. My students deserve nothing but the best, and with your help, they will be on their way to learning success! I thank you for your generosity, and let the science learning begin! Let them discover the world in a way they have never seen before.

My Project

With these items, I will "trick" my students into learning while having a blast at the same time. The writing materials and centers I will create with these writing prompts. Some centers I will create are free writing where the kids can write about whatever they like. Another center will have a writing prompt where they will have a subject to write about.

These centers will provide my students with opportunities to learn, not only with my direction but on their own.

They also need a keyboard duster to keep their Chromebooks up and running. The magnetic tape will be used to hang up their amazing work within the class. They need glue sticks to perform various activities with word work and math work. The comfy chairs will entice the students to want to enter the library area and read all sorts of books at many different levels. Lastly, the sentence strips are a great way for the kids to write their final draft stories on because of the age-appropriate spacing and lines on the strips.
