Help me give my students an engaging and hands on year in 1st grade! With alternative seating choices and a variety of STEAM books my students will be able to explore outside the classroom walls.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am working in a title one school that is 100% free and reduced lunch. In addition my classroom is an IEP inclusion room. My students have brilliant ideas and potential out of this world. I am working to give them supplies that will support and encourage their academic as well as social growth!
My Project
This is my 3rd year teaching and I am feeling more confident than before. I want to encourage my students to take risks and develop the necessary critical thinking skills.
By incorporating more STEAM and ample social emotional learning, students will be pushed to think outside of the box on a daily basis.
By providing accommodations and organization within the classroom both my students and I have what we need to be successful at our finger tips.
I am excited for the year to come and can't wait to make it the best one yet!
