My Students

My days begin with greeting about twenty faces of excited students who are bursting with curiosity about the world around them. My kiddos are at the beginning of their student career and I get the opportunity to be one of the first teachers to facilitate their transition into school life.

Each child enters the classroom with enormous potential and zest for learning that need to be fostered and nurtured into reality.

Though our school population is considered high poverty, there is nothing poor about the quality of education that these children deserve.

My Project

My Pre-K students are life little vessels just waiting to be filled. They enter school ready to learn and absorb all that is being taught. With the right tools, they will have fun while acquiring basic skills that will serve as a foundation for what they will continue to learn in school.

The Unifix Cubes, Nuts About Counting, Magnetic Counting Numbers and Color Teddy Counters will be used to build number concept in my little learners.

They will be able learn through play while manipulating these resources. Getting these materials will take me one step closer to creating an enriched classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
