My students need binders to collect their assessments and student work. They need different colored folders to store their take home materials and homework items. They also need everyday classroom supplies to get them through.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 4th graders in an inner-city school in New Jersey. I love my job and find it to be one of the most rewarding feelings when I can change or influence one student's outlook on something. This year, I have 21 students from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and neighborhoods. A lot of my school supplies come from my own pocket. It would greatly benefit my students to have their school supplies here and ready for them in September!
My Project
Most of my students cannot afford to purchase specific school supplies. A lot of the supplies, I end up purchasing on my own. These supplies are used by my students daily in the 4th grade. I am also asking for binders so that each student will be able to have their own assessment and data binder in my classroom this year. This binder will hold all of their hard work so that it may be shared with their parents each month. I am also asking for plastic folders so that my students can maintain their homework and take home folders.
