Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I'm the proud teacher to 15 amazing students who come from a diverse background of military and non-military families who truly want the best for their children.

I have an active, inquisitive and loving group of kindergartners.

My students enjoying dancing, singing, arts, crafts and learning! I'm excited to welcome my new group of kindergarten students to school. After a year of virtual and hybrid learning, I want to do everything I can to ensure my classroom is welcoming, exciting and meet the diverse needs of my little learners.

My Project

My students have worked extremely hard this school year. Recently I realized we have not had any parties in class to celebrate and join together for crafts and other fun activities.

It is my goal to give my students an opportunity to enjoy some classic Christmas Activities including Pajama day, hot cocoa, the Polar Express and more.

I plan to read the Gingerbread Man with my students and then give them an opportunity to make their own Gingerbread Houses. I'm excited to recreate some of the most exciting moments from my childhood with my students.

I have been hyper focused on closing gaps with my students that I have forgotten to celebrate an enjoy the small moments with my students. Having this project will allow me to gift each of my students their own pajamas as we watch the Polar Express and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.

It is my goal to ensure that we close out this year by creating and making some memories that will last beyond all of the academics. For a moment I had lost sight of that. Here is to closing out the year with my amazing kinder babies! Thank you for supporting my students
