I am proud to teach in a small, rural area in Indiana. My little 8-year-olds are small in stature, but big in heart. A large portion of our student population is Amish, so it is very special to be able teach them about the world that lies beyond the corn fields of the Midwest.
While the poverty rate is high, so is my students' desire to be the best they can be.
They love challenging each other and learning about new things and faraway places. Several service projects have also provided the opportunity to learn about citizenship and generosity.
The Chromebooks have landed! We are so excited to have a class set of Chromebooks as a classroom learning tool! Little minds love technology, and they are fearless when it comes to learning new things.
The only problem we face is how to work safely on the floor in our flexible seating classroom.
The ECR4Kids laptop desks are exactly what we need to be able to collaborate and keep our Chromebooks secure because it acts as both a chair for the student and a table for the Chromebook. This is a very versatile piece of furniture that has many other uses, too!
