This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

More students are looking to play in the various bands I have here, so I am trying to add accessories to be able to have more students play together. I am completing 2 drum sets and we got more keyboards so I needed stands for them.

All of my students have autism in various degrees.

Many are quite musical and talented and absolutely music class. They love listening to Cd's and playing songs on different instruments. It is such a treat to see a student learn to play a favorite song of theirs, and then play in a band. The social skills that are learned are invaluable.

My Project

Thanks to your support, I have been able to build a great music program here through different grade levels. We were able to get some more instruments, but I needed some accessories in order to properly use them. I am trying to get every student to play an instrument that wants to play. We are really having a great time and I am excited to have the opportunity to make the band much bigger!

Music and art are 2 of the biggest skills that are emphasized here.

It is the best way to show emotion and individuality. Every student has a different voice through music, and there is so much creativity. I can not tell you how touched my students would be to know that more instruments are being added to build a bigger band. This is exactly what they have wanted, and I thank you in advance.
