Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We would like clay and clay tools so that we can use our NEW KILN that we got this year. I enjoyed ceramics in college and to share this knowledge about ceramics

Our school was really small when I stated last year.

We have doubled in size and now have 435 students. We also moved into a wonderful new building. In my Art room I got a Kiln. I work with it in college and my students have know idea what it is or used for. I have told them about it but now I would LOVE to show them. As far as I know these students have never worked with clay and would like to get them knowledge about ceramics.

My Project

For my 2nd-5th graders we will be making Pueblo Dolls. in my Kinder and 1st we will start with the basic and make beads to make a necklace. I would like to show them different types of pots we can make. I hope that each year we can build on this and grow our ceramic skills.

By helping donate clay and tools we can get started on this project and I will be a risk-taker and teach these kids something new that they have never worked with in Art.

Along with other supplies to help enrich the learning process.
