My Students

Think what it would be like to have wonderful classroom supplies like lapboards but not be able to use them because you don't have the basic supplies like markers. That is what its like in my room.

My class is a room of hard-working, energetic third and fourth graders.

They come from mostly low-income homes and have trouble getting school supplies. Our school is a rural school in Kentucky and had very little funding as well. My students work hard, but lack supplies we need to practice basic skills in math and other subjects.

My Project

A few years ago some generous donors donated lapboards to my classroom. These boards have been well used and the students are much more excited to do math problems on the boards than they are paper. The boards are also useful with doing quick checks on other skills. Unfortunately my students have trouble getting dry erase markers to use with the boards. So our class needs dry-erase markers for our boards. We also need scissors to use in class projects.

By donating to this project you will be providing needed supplies to a class that is excited about learning.
