This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Math is not a silent activity! Students have the chance to participate in a computer program to help them with decimals, fractions, and percents, but without sound they are missing out on valuable information!

A high poverty middle school in the Midwest with a majority of students struggling with basic math skills.

Our 50 year old school lacks any renovations and the small 5 computer classroom is in desperate need of headphones. With no extra money in the budget this year or in the near future, their learning is in great need of help!

My Project

These headphones will allow students to hear their math and become apart of the experience instead of just a spectator. Students need additional reinforcement of basic skills and the math computer program will meet their needs while also enriching their learning environment.

I feel blessed that my school leaders have found the resources to purchase the math computer program, but the headphones are the only thing missing to complete this program and make an important and necessary improvement for my students!
