My Students

We have two old computers in our room for our use but how amazing would it be to have a small, portable computer to help us? Data collection, will be portable and easy. The built in webcam will help us Skype with other classrooms and professionals across the nation!

My students attend a small public school in a rural town in Kansas.

Students are eager to learn and use technology in the classroom. While our technology is currently limited, we are making strides toward getting more and staying up to date. The teachers in the school are eager to find and incorporate technology into our classrooms.

My Project

There are SO many ways a netbook would be used in our classroom! Our day could begin with using it for word processing or finding images for our writing projects. In math, we'd use it to collect data and for practice our basic skills. During reading we will do research and tell digital stories. Science and social studies will be full of website resources and an opportunity to use Google Earth to follow our Flat Stanleys. The ideas and learning impact are endless!

This netbook will make the difference in the lives of my students because of the ease of use and ability to access it and all of the resources it will link them to!

It be utilized in all areas of our curriculum!
