This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine being able to go back and examine your science investigation or your learning walk again and again to find new discoveries and make new connections? Flip cameras will allow my students and I to document our learning and use it over and over to teach ourselves and others!

I teach fourth grade in a leadership magnet school that focuses on technology and the arts.

The students love to learn through project-based learning and flip cameras will allow them to document each and every project for use in many, many different ways.

My Project

My students will begin using the flip video cameras to document science experiments. They will use these videos to teach younger children, reexamine their own work and draw new conclusions and compare to other groups for analysis. They will also be able to document learning walks, math projects, social studies projects, basically ALL projects. We do many skits, debates, dramatic activities and action-based experiments that could be very well captured with the use of flip video cameras.

By having access to flip video cameras, my students will be able to begin integrating technology into their world more and more as they grow as learners and leaders.

They can reach many more people and share their own learning and excitement and hopefully spark this love of learning in someone else.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
