My Students

We Have a Wish Bone! We need a skeleton for the PE program so we can know more about our bodies!

My students are excellent K-5th graders but have came from schools where they have not received the best education.

They are attending a new charter school. They really enjoy PE and I want to make PE special and something they have never had before.

My Project

Having a skeleton in my gym class will help my students understand what muscles are being used when doing a push-up, sit-ups, jogging, etc. I will use this skeleton randomly during class. I will use it mostly during warm-ups and stretches so I will be able to show them the exact muscles they are using.

My project is important because students today are overweight and unhealthy.

I feel that having a skeleton in my gym can help encourage them to take care of their bodies. I also feel that this can help them in future classes if they have a base knowledge on the human body.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
