My Students

Were you ever the child who disliked math so much it made you sick? As a first grade student, I despised math class! I do not want that for my students. I want them to learn to love and appreciate math! And with these fun, exciting math centers, I know this can happen!!

My first grade students are hard-working, eager little people!

We attend a high-achieving, poverty-level school in Tennessee. My students would impress anyone who walked through the door, in that they love learning so much! I would love for them to have fun, interactive games to enhance their love for learning!

My Project

I couldn't even begin to describe how these math activities would enhance my students' learning! Their potential is so great at this age, and these math centers would help a great deal because it would give them time to independently work using hands-on materials, as well as give me time to spend one-on-one time with each and every learner! With these centers, every single math standard could be met. That would be amazing! And can you imagine how FUN it would be while meeting those standards??

These math manipulatives and resources would mean the world to me and my students.

The impact would be everlasting. In first grade, students either learn to love math or hate it. With such wonderful resources and fun activities, my students would have the potential to be super mathematicians by the time they reach second grade!
