My Students

Have you ever heard of the old saying, An apple a day will keep the doctor away?" When one is sick, he or she will try anything to get better. As we know, technology has taken over the word today, even in education. An Apple (iPod Touch)a day, equals success in education!

As a teacher at a Title One school, it is my duty to make sure my students are successful!

Supplying them with the materials they need to succeed and to make learning fun is a must. Many of my students have mp3 players filled with the latest rap songs, but I promise you that none of them have recordings of books that they can listen to; podcast created by their teacher or themselves; or educational games.

My Project

iPods are one of the biggest raves by technology lovers today. It is capable of doing so many things, even creating success in education. Having an iPod in my classroom will allow students to listen to books as they read alone or even listen to a story as they paint a vivid picture in their heads (especially struggling readers). An iPod would also be used for students to download podcasts that they have created from a reading or writing lesson. It will also be used to download educational games for students to enjoy but learn. It will also help accommodate students who must have test read to them by allow me to record it prior to testing.
