My Students

West Side High school's soccer team made the New Jersey State Tournament this year for the first time in our school's history. Though we lost our first and only game, our team was excited to play at the highest state level and are excited about the upcoming soccer season.

My students are hard working, dedicated students who believe that academics and sports go hand in hand.

Our school believes in portraying a positive school spirit and this persona has trickled down to our soccer team members.Our team believes in the four A's for academic success:Academics,Attendance,Appearance,and Attitude. These are the four components of our success.

My Project

We are in dire need of quality equipment, in particular, Soccer balls. We are limited in ball supply and I believe this will aid in our team practices as well as serve as our game balls when hosting visitors. Soccer practice requires that at least one player gets a ball. My team roster is almost 15 players. This equipment will change the students'lives in that they will be able to perform soccer drills vital to our success in the upcoming season. Soccer balls will also aid in their physical development, inclusive of ball control, kicking and passing.

It is time that our Public school compete effectively with our counterparts, who seem to have a competetitive edge where equipment is concerned.

Your gift will make a difference in the lives of these students who yearn for quality equipment to enjoy success during this year's soccer season. This project will have a positive impact on these students who are destined to play college soccer. This will also aid in their development, furthering their chances of receiving soccer scholarships.
