Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Ask your child what they like about music class. The answer I get the most is, "we love playing the instruments!" We are trying to build our collection of Orff instruments. They are great at taking turns, but more instruments leads to more playing time leads to more active learning!

Third to sixth grade students at my school get to have music class every day.

We are a rural school with a diverse student population. We enjoy a variety of musical experiences throughout the year. My students sing, play instruments, compose music, analyze music, and perform.

My Project

It is exciting when we can actually SEE learning take place. In the music room, we are working our whole brain by singing, playing, and using rhythms all at once. We share instruments and take turns in order to allow all students to experience this. This is why I am requesting a xylophone and a metallophone. By funding this project, you are helping more students get more playing time. What fun! Playing is how we learn in music!
