My Students

The students will be able to bring back to the class their experiences with real business in our area. They can discuss how and why different businesses arrange their stores and are in curtain locations.

This school is a large very diverse school.

The students come from very different socioeconomic backgrounds. They do not always see some of the areas in the town and how the businesses are set up to meet the needs of the different demographics of the area in which we live.

My Project

With the cameras that I am asking for, students will be able to take pictures and videos of different businesses in the area. They will be able to bring them back to the class room and create presentations to share with the rest of the class. This will show the variety of businesses in the area and how each business meets the need of their target market.

I have to teach the subject of business management in a very general way.

With the ability of the student to go out and see first hand what is going on in their neighborhood in the business world, they can better relate what is taught in the class to the world they live in. Others who are outside their neighborhood will have a better understanding of what is around them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
