My Students

Have you ever been to the movie theater and found that they were out of popcorn? Or even worse.... that they did not sell it? Probably not! Popcorn is vital to the theater experience, and as a teacher, I want to show my students that there are other aspects to theater.

A big part of working in the theater business is knowing how to bring in your customers, and how to set the right environment for your customers.

How is "your" theater company going to get off the ground if your consumer does not enjoy going to your productions? Concessions are a vital part in being able to raise money for the theater company to pay for scripts, royalties, costumes, and materials. I am teaching my students to run a real business.

My Project

Obviously, starting a business is very hard and it takes a lot of funding. Slowly but surely we are getting there, but we need help. Please help my students understand that working together, supporting each other, getting the materials they need, and hard work can get them far in life.

Most people think that theater is just getting on stage and memorizing some lines.

It is so much more than that! It teaches real life values and skills like, proper budgeting, punctuality, credibility, responsibility, and many other good qualities. Please help us improve ourselves!
