My Students

My students need a safe, comfortable place where they can relax and enjoy reading.

My first grade students attend an overcrowded, high needs, public school with no walls.

The lack of walls makes it very hard for these young learners to stay on task without distraction. It is also difficult for them to find a quiet comfortable place for them to enjoy reading.

My Project

The meeting area rug will give the students a cozy, comfortable experience while they are reading independently! It will also give them an adequate amount of space to sit during our (daily) morning routines such as: greeting, calendar, weather, and attendance. The gift of the meeting area rug will also allow the students to gather around and focus on lesson objectives and discussions.

The meeting area rug will be a substantial gift to give to my early grade children.

The early grade years are the most important years when it pertains to building and setting the foundation of the next generation of leaders. Considering that these young students have to learn in a noisy environment with no walls, your generous donation will give them a place that is their own. A place where they can go and curl up with a good book for their own enjoyment.
