My Students

"Be the change you want to see in the world," Mahatma Gandhi said, and my students apply this quote in my classroom and dream big every day. So, when it came time to discuss the environment, my students were ready to reach out and form a Green Team for our school.

We are located in a high-poverty area.

However, the love the students feel for their school and the pride in keeping it clean is outstanding. My students were so excited to get a Green Team together for our school. We are making posters and getting other teachers and students on board with the changes taking place.

My Project

The Green Team came together quite well. We were able to get lots of interest and volunteers. However, the problem is that we only have 24 recycling bins. We are only recycling on one hallway right now. We need 75 for the entire school. With your help we can make the students' dream of a GREEN school a reality.

It has been so rewarding watching the students, who are our future, become good stewards of the environment. The Green Team at our school is only in the beginning stages, you can help make this dream become bigger than ever. Thanks in advance for all of your support!
