My Students

"Can you hear us now?" We are learning and thinking to be the leaders of the future! We need help to "listen" to our CD player and Smartboard.

I spend my days with 20 vibrant, active and intelligent second graders.

Our room is a bustling environment with many activities and learning experiences. Education is not silent! My students are a mix of poverty and upper middle class with blue collar parents and professionals. We have special needs students who are mainstreamed into our classroom.

My Project

Our wireless CD/cassette player is used everyday as background music for working and as a listening center for small groups. Two headphones were lost in a hot chocolate accident. We need to replace those to enable 3-5 students to use the center. We were just awarded Smartboard technology (after a 3 year wait). Our Smartboard needs speakers to maximize the potential for whole group instruction. All of these items will have a classroom lifespan of 7-10 years. Your impact will go on long after current students have left our classroom.
