Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you still have some of the special things you made in kindergarten that mom held on to for all these years? I love projects and making special things with my students. Children learn by having fun and doing things, especially the younger ones. Through crafts and games, children become more social.

My students are curious creatures and love hands-on activities.

They explore their world through touch and play. They are special education students of age five. They live in a poor socioeconomic background with little resources available to them. Some come from broken homes and are eager to play, learn, and grow. They are good spirited children who love to be creative through many aspects of learning.

My Project

With paints, a box of crayons, assorted craft materials, and games including a large colorful parachute for play, my students will be able to have fun by using their creativity and making things related to learning. They will be able to remember their first school memories of learning through play and creativity. These resources will overlap with the learning process and the thematic units we use in the class. It is important that every child has a memorable and positive first school experience.

Their minds will grow with wonder and memories of their beginning journey in school. Your support will be utilized to a magical time for children in their wonder years. First impressions can last a lifetime and cultivate a child into a warm and nurturing human being. Children learn best by creating and playing.
