Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever tried to complete a creative project with only crayons? Adding fun embellishments to projects sparks creativity from our students!

My students have fun, creative minds and they are always wanting to take their projects to the next level.

However we live in a low social-economic area in Florida where having money to purchase all the "extras" is not always available to our students at home and at school. By having these art supplies available to the students, they will be able to let their creative minds soar to create fold able work and projects in class that jump off the page!

My Project

Allowing students to create colorful 3-D work reaches our visual and hands-on learners. We will be able to fill our notebooks with information that simply jumps off the page making learning both fun and memorable to the students. As a teacher, I love adding pop-up notes to our notebooks, using fold able work to organize information such as vocabulary, and letting students have creative license to their work to make it more personal for them. By making our notebooks bright and colorful, this brings art into the classroom but with a curriculum basis to make learning "edutainment"!

This project will definitely impact my students by making note-taking fun and creative instead of boring and bland.

By providing the requested materials to my classroom (and to the entire grade level) the students will be able to let their creativity run wild and add wow factor to their work. Adding that bit of sparkle to their work will add that sparkle to their eye as the students take pride in what they create.
