Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In the past three years I have seen our school demographics changed drastically. Our school has changed to a moderate poverty school and the student population has seen an increase in English Language Learners.

The students are kindergrtners and some are English Language Learners.

They are a group of students who are willing to learning and meet high expectation in our classroom. We are in a moderate poverty school, which was not the case several years ago. The school is a public school in Arizona.

My Project

This resource will provide the students with a location to sit and use listening and learning activities. It also provides them an opportunity to hear and follow direction for an activity. The students are able to repeat sounds, words, and phrases with confidence and not worry about other students listening to them. The listening table will be part of our literacy center in the classroom and it would be used on a daily basis.
