I teach in a small school in rural Nebraska. I currently have 15 students in my classroom.

My district is very isolated. Many of my students have spent their whole life here and have traveled very little. Even something as simple as a trip to McDonalds is a big treat as the closest one is almost an hour away. The closest Walmart is nearly 2 hours away. This isolation limits the types of experiences my students have had and makes educational field trips to places like zoos or museums very costly. I do have one classroom computer with Internet access. My students love to take virtual field trips using this computer, but it is hard for all 15 students to see one computer screen.

An LCD projector would give my students a large "window to the world". Through the Internet I can show my students things they may never have the opportunity to see like the Pacific Ocean or an art museum.

Your support would be greatly appreciated. In today's global society every child needs to connected and this LCD projector would help make sure that even in rural, isolated Nebraska they are.
